A year with our Summa F1612 Flatbed Cutter

One year on from our investment in our Summa F1612 Flatbed Cutter and WOW! How did we ever manage without it?!…

With the installation of the new machine in October 2018 we saw an instant impact on both the quality and turnaround of customers orders. Jobs that were previously hand finished by an operator were cut precisely and in a quarter of the time, minimising human error and most importantly decreasing time orders were being processed through production.

The main reason for the purchase was for the cutting of roll media such as stickers and labels but we soon found that we were using the machine for everything from trimming posters and wallpapers, handling sheet media and creating perfectly cut signs and panels. The F1612 has also opened up new opportunities for us for creating custom packaging and has meant we can venture into new business avenues we haven’t even thought of previously!
